We have already got an enviable line-up of speakers across a range of disciplines, including technical diving, freediving, underwater photography, TV and film, and more, and now the GO Diving Show team are excited to announced that tech-diving supremo Phil Short has come onboard to give talks over the weekend.
Phil is a British cave and wreck explorer with a passion for sharing his experiences and the things he has learnt through education. He is one of the most-experienced Instructor Trainers and technical diving educators worldwide in both open and closed-circuit technologies and in both cave and open water environments. He has been a member of numerous expeditions worldwide to explore caves, survey flooded mines and document sunken ships.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS) and a Fellow of the Explorers Club.
Phil has been involved with many television documentaries for cave, wreck and marine life features for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Discovery and Nova, among others. In recent years he has become more involved with scientific diving teams and projects for groups, including WHOI, the US National Parks Service and the DPAA on projects including the Antikythera shipwreck, the Mentor shipwreck and the crew recovery from B-24 J Tulsamerican.
