Chris Jewell has been exploring and diving in caves for over 14 years. He is a member of the Bristol Exploration Club (The BEC get everywhere!) and the Cave Diving Group which specialises in equipping cavers with the skills to dive in the UK’s typically challenging cave conditions.
His explorations have had him squeezing through tiny muddy underwater holes in Somerset, digging underwater in the Yorkshire Dales and leading cave diving expeditions to Spain and Mexico where his team established the Huautla cave system as the deepest in the Western hemisphere.
Chris Jewell is also the British Cave Rescue Council‘s diving officer and the experience and knowledge gained through these expeditions led to his involvement in the dramatic rescue of 12 boys and their football coach from a flooded cave in Thailand in 2018.
Chris Jewell will be on the Tech Stage on Saturday 22 February! Book your tickets now!
